• Elena Valls Garcia


    Elena Valls Garcia was born in the Spanish capital of Madrid. In 2011 she graduated from State University of New York Purchase College (SUNY Purchase). She continued her training in dance studies and martial arts, namely Kung Fu, at the “National University of the Arts in Taipei, Taiwan. She has twice benefited from the "SpringBoard Danse Montréal" programme and worked with Johannes Weiland, Idan Sharabi and Elizabeth Motley.


    Elena has performed with numerous choreographers including Etienne Béchard, Kyle Abraham, Shen Wei, Manuel Vignoulle, Antonio Brown, Andy Noble, Huang Yi, Korhan Basaran, Gregory Dolbashian, Samuel Pott, Augusto Soledade, and Astrid Von Ussar. Elena also performed in Punch Drunk’s “Sleep No More” in New York City.


    She currently lives in Europe and works as a freelance artist. As a freelancer, she has danced with the Opinion Public Dance Company in Brussels and Maura Morales in Dusseldorf. In addition, she was invited to Madrid by Spanish television as a guest artist/teacher for the "Fama, A Bailar" prime time television programme. She also appeared in season 2 (episode 5) of the American series, "American Crime" written by John Ridley.


    Elena Valls is constantly researching and exploring new ideas and opportunities to feed her mind and body. This is why she is so happy to be able to perform with Opinion Public.
